Description Gaëtan Podevijn 2009-08-07 11:17:09 UTC
I don't really know if that feature has already been discussed, but it would be really cool that Gedit has a plugin to split the window, instead to navigate with the tabs.

Unfortunately, I have no skill to make a patch.

Is this a problem with integration or compliance with the guideline of GNOME ?

well, it is mainly a problem of how gedit is implemented internally.

As far as I know there is a plugins that implenets that, even if with some hacks.
