On msys, autotools build should automatically generate .lib files as it's done when compiling glib.

Then all .vcproj builds could work without any changes.
And for the same reasons that glib generates .lib files.

Are you planning to provide a patch for this? Most other developers don't have easy access to a Windows development environment ;)
