GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 589254
Configuration option to set a default category
Last modified: 2009-07-31 08:36:52 UTC
It may be nice to have an option to set a default category to report activity. Currently all the activities go into *unsorted* and the user have to manually move to the appropriate category. Here is a use case from my experience: I depend upon Categories to differentiate between billable and non-billable time in hamster. Currently, I use only two active categories - Work and Break. Normally, all my activities fall under one category - Work and I rarely use Break. There is also a third category(unsorted) to which hamster adds all the activities by default. It may be nice to have a configuration option so that I can set a category as default and add all the activities to it, unless I need them in another category.
hmmm. are you aware of activity@category option to throw an activity in category on the fly? also, how about instead of a default category to have ability for multiple drag and drop - in that case your corrections would be just matter of shift+click and d'n'd
To me activity@category makes more sense.I was not aware of such an option. Thanks for pointing me to right direction. May be nice if there is a small guide/tutorial included in the applet.
in 2.27 there is a hint under the input box if no activity is running. closing this one!
