GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 588044
Mails not downloaded even if "synchronize remote mails locally" option is enabled
Last modified: 2013-09-13 01:04:08 UTC
Please describe the problem: Account type: Gmail IMAP I think if "synchronize remote mails locally" option is enabled, it should behave like disconnected imap(as in kmail). This way all mails are downloaded in full instead of just summary so we can access mails even if we're offline. But I think evolution doesn't download full mails until we read them. So folders other than inbox still have just mail summary. I checked the size on physical disc for imap folder which is fairly small compared to the actual mailbox size which is around 3.5G. Even when I click file->download messages for offline usage, it doesn't download all mails. Steps to reproduce: 1. Enable "synchronize remote mails locally" option. 2. Check for new mails Actual results: Only mail summary downloaded instead of full mails. Expected results: All mails should be downloaded for offline usage. Does this happen every time? Yes Other information:
