I don't think the problem is in metacity, since when turning off compiz I don't have it. the problem might be in compiz, but I proposed a workaround.

Since empathy will be the default for ubuntu 9.10 and since compiz is enabled by default (unlike in fedora), I think that the workaround might be reconsidered.

If you will reject it, please help to discover if the bug is really in metacity or in compiz
