Cyril Hrubis wrote:

When esd is invoked with parameter "-port NUMBER" but without the "-tcp"
parameter, it prints line:

- accepting connections on port NUMBER

despite of a fact that it in fact opens a unix socket
(in /tmp/.esd/socket) and the port number is not used at all.

I suggest to add warning that parameter -port is not used
when the "-tcp" parameter is not present; alternatively it
can switch to tcp mode when parameter -port is present.

Esound is deprecated and unmaintained. Bug reports without patches are closed (slowly) with WONTFIX.
