GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 582300
Do not rescale when loading a new image
Last modified: 2012-07-28 13:48:10 UTC
Sometimes I wish to compare two images by switching them rapidly. It helps to zoom in to see differences better but I can't do this with eog because it rescales images to fit the screen. Also image loading is slow, it shouldn't happen when I load an image a second time. So three things should be changed: 1. Keep images in memory and do not reload. 2. Do not rescale images when switching images. 3. Keep the keys consistent. Right now page up/down and the arrow keys switch images when looking at a unzoomed image but translate the image when zoomed in. Other information:
It is (as per title) a duplicate of this bug: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=311297 As for the other two bugs you mention here, these should be filed separately anyway. BTW, I wholeheartedly agree with the need to keep keys consistent. I cannot get used to it.
