Open a new memo window Tool bar > New > Memo , above calendar group, you can see a useless field. It is useful in case of shared memo (group wise)  when we have a organizer.

It is fixed in actual master. I thought I fixed that, but I'm certainly wrong, because I cannot fid that commit. It seems it was fixed when Matt committed his changes for using GtkBuilder instead of libglade. Nonetheless, it's fixed in 2.30.0.
