It's rather duplicate of bug #569187, though that is marked as a duplicate of that yours, Akhil, but, looking more deeply into this, it is not correct. When you look more precisely, then in this bug is not involved vfolder, but in the bug #568332 it is, thus it's different. Seems like some reference counting error here.

No new crash reports about this issue since 2.28. Does anybody know if this is still an issue nowadays in the 3.8 or 3.6 codebase?
