GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 580704
text part and html part have different encodings
Last modified: 2009-04-30 07:55:41 UTC
A message: Content-Type: text/plain; charset=KOI8-R; DelSp=Yes; Format=Flowed Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable ... Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable It is nothing wrong with it, but in practice broken but widely used MUA (e.g. Outlook Exp.) ignore 2nd charset=... and shows HTML part in the wrong encoding. I guess it's trivial to fix without any side-effects.
Thanks for the report! That behavior is unbelievably brain-damaged! But as you suggest, easy to fix, with no worse side-effect than using UTF-8 for the text/plain part when a simpler charset would work. Fixed in master, please check it out!
It works. Thanks a lot for fixing quickly!
