GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 580681
crash in Epiphany Web Browser: I killed epiphany using...
Last modified: 2009-04-29 08:04:02 UTC
Version: 2.22.3 What were you doing when the application crashed? I killed epiphany using SIGSEGV hoping there would be enough information to track the actual problem. And here we go. The browser stopped responding, it was able to open new tabs, but wouldn't load them, nor would it load new web pages in old tabs, the new tabs could not be closed, and as far as I could observe no tab could be closed when they were attempting to connect..... I managed to close one tab, using ctrl-W, I didn't try it on other tabs, I needed the session. This is the second time it happened. ..... Other details most probably inconsequential, the memory is notoriously low, swapping like crazy, I browse via a lossy wireless link...... I'll start using epiphany with core dumping enabled, maybe that will help........ any other ideas? :-) Distribution: Debian 5.0 Gnome Release: 2.22.3 2008-09-18 (Debian) BugBuddy Version: 2.22.0 System: Linux 2.6.26-x2 #1 SMP Mon Jul 14 13:39:39 AST 2008 i686 X Vendor: The X.Org Foundation X Vendor Release: 10402000 Selinux: No Accessibility: Disabled GTK+ Theme: Mist Icon Theme: Mist Memory status: size: 1749385216 vsize: 1749385216 resident: 478593024 share: 21889024 rss: 478593024 rss_rlim: 4294967295 CPU usage: start_time: 1240911684 rtime: 595792 utime: 487236 stime: 108556 cutime:6 cstime: 14 timeout: 0 it_real_value: 0 frequency: 100 Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/epiphany-browser' [Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled] [New Thread 0xb6b4e700 (LWP 14422)] [New Thread 0xaaa4cb90 (LWP 19169)] [New Thread 0xa8247b90 (LWP 18564)] [New Thread 0xae11db90 (LWP 18563)] [New Thread 0xac7fdb90 (LWP 3480)] [New Thread 0xab24db90 (LWP 3335)] [New Thread 0xacffeb90 (LWP 3334)] [New Thread 0xb3868b90 (LWP 17751)] [New Thread 0xb2866b90 (LWP 14610)] [New Thread 0xb3067b90 (LWP 14609)] [New Thread 0xb4069b90 (LWP 14600)] 0xffffe424 in __kernel_vsyscall ()
