Description Maxim Levitsky 2009-04-09 10:47:21 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Cheese works fine, but when I try to record, it records just few seconds, and then stalls.

I suspect that this is due to slow CPU.

In this case please add an option to encode using different less cpu hungry codec.

Steps to reproduce:
Just star video recording in cheese

Actual results:

Expected results:

Does this happen every time?
Always, system doesn't any other applications

I hope cheese developers listen.

I found that I can lower the resolution of webcam, and then recording works fine.

I am ok with that, but I want to capture pictures in maximum resolution, thus I suggest you detect the cpu, and lower video capture resolution accordantly

Oh I thought I already marked this bug as duplicated :P
I'm sorry!

Anyway, it seems that decreasing the resolution is enough for someone (me and you e.g.) but doesn't change anything for others... maybe we have two different bugs here... or maybe atom just cannot do live recording and encoding and we should come up with a different solution.
