When I have a maximized window normally, the scrollbar (if any) at the right will go all the way to the edge of the screen.
However, if I use tabs, there is a pixel gap on the right, so you cannot use the whole edge for anything at all, even if the window is maximised. This breaks fitts law and usability quite badly

Actually we also have a specific epiphany bug for this, bug 112291.
