Description Josselin Mouette 2009-02-10 10:49:47 UTC
[ Original report: http://bugs.debian.org/514551 from Neil Stewart ]

Thank you for maintaining a very sold piece of software.

I'm using System->Preferences->Removable Drives and Media Preferences
(Multimedia Tab) to set sound-juicer to automatically rip a CD. With the -a
option set Sound Juicer automatically rips a CD when it is first started,
but does not automatically rip subsequent CDs. Manually quitting
sound-juicer allows it to restart and rip automatically for a subsequent CD.

I suggest either causing sound-juicer to quit after ripping a CD when it is
started with the -a option. This would allow the next CD to restart
sound-juicer and be ripped automatically. Alternatively, and perhaps more
straightforwardly, when started with the -a option, sound-juicer should
always automatically rip a CD whenever a CD is inserted.

[ Additional notes from joss ]

The user is talking about gnome-volume-manager; the same could be done from nautilus in 2.24.

An alternative option is to make sound-juicer -a do the same when there is an existing instance as when it is started as is.

I'm interested in trying to fix this. Does a maintainer have the time/interest to review a patch?

Sure, patches always welcome.
