The attached patch makes g-v-c not display with a heuristically determined icon.  
The icons didn't make sense here at all, and only added visual clutter and wasted 
real-estate.  The attached patch fixes this.  Can this go upstream?

Closing this patch as NOTABUG.  This diff really belongs in the patch for
bug #571106.  I'm updating that patch to include this fix.
