GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 570631
file-manager: don't show up-to-date emblem
Last modified: 2020-11-06 20:22:42 UTC
With the addition of the recent up-to-date emblem every file now has an emblem. This makes it feel quite crowded. When you have the "Do not show unversioned files" option ticked this emblem shouldn't be needed since every file shown should be part of the repository.
Created attachment 128003 [details] [review] patch which makes the file-manager not show the up-to-date emblem if it's set to filter unversioned files
Created attachment 128004 [details] [review] the previous patch had a some unwanted content
Created attachment 128005 [details] [review] patch which makes the file-manager not show the up-to-date emblem if it's set to filter unversioned files really fixed patch
Hmm, I think we will add a config option for that in 2.27.x.
Could you make a preference option for this behaviour in the patch. It can be merged into trunk then! Thanks!
Carl-Anton, can you please update the patch? Thanks in advance!
Hm. Carl-Anton, would be nice if you could update the patch? I'm reopening this bug despite the inactivity, because there is a patch lying around which just needs a little love. And it would be sad if that work was wasted. So if anybody has some time at their hands, please do the last step. The maintainers are free to close this bug as INCOMPLETE or whatever though.
