GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 570561
(ARIA) arrowing not working with simple slider
Last modified: 2009-02-11 16:44:56 UTC
1) Go to http://codetalks.org/source/widgets/slider/simple-slider.html 2) Tab to the slider. 3) Left/Right arrow on the slider. The caret eventually pops off the slider. NOTE: this might be a bug in the slider code itself (i.e., run this w/o Orca and observe what happens). But, I'm logging this just in case as part of my "let's go crazy with ARIA bugs" campaign today.
Note also that the Paciello group slider at http://www.paciellogroup.com/blog/misc/ARIA/slider/ suffers from the same thing. I'm thinking the designers of these things didn't turn FF caret navigation on when testing their stuff.
On both of these, the bug happens without Orca running. Will, whose bug does that make these?
I think it's an ARIA widget implementor bug (i.e., we should let Mike and Jon know and then close these two bugs out).
Will since you indicated you'd contact Mike and Jon, I'm reassigning this one to you so that it's off my radar. Thanks!
Message sent. Closing. Thanks!
