GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 568030
use comments as photo titles while exporting to facebook
Last modified: 2018-07-12 00:01:24 UTC
It would useful imho use the photo comment as title in the facebook export process.
better would be with a title field (bug 342217)
Created attachment 139770 [details] [review] Patch to use Description field for caption
(In reply to comment #2) > Created an attachment (id=139770) [details] > Patch to use Description field for caption I like this idea too! It makes sense that if the user has already entered the comment that he would like to use it for Facebook as well. Plus, since the captions are loaded when the dialog is created, it's very easy for the user to just go through and change them before submitting everything. Also, I'd just like to say Peter's solution of initializing "current_item" to "-1" in the "FacebookExportDialog" constructor and testing for it in "HandleThumbnailIconViewButtonPressEvent" is a nice touch. Otherwise the first photo's description is lost since there was nothing selected before it and the caption text box was blank. Finally, I think users that are interested in this bug may be interested in bug 592835 "Captions may be mixed up after uploading to Facebook", which I just submitted.
