Description Dan Jacobson 2009-01-15 21:18:44 UTC
Dear Sirs, I would like to do something like
$ gnumeric --batch --convert file.xls --to file.csv
All from the command line all without needing a window system, etc.
Yes there are xls2cvs etc. tools out there, but one wants the better
job gnumeric can do... and wants to be able to script it for
unattended conversions between various formats XLS-->(HTML, CVS...)
Comment 1 Morten Welinder 2009-01-15 22:01:45 UTC
Gnumeric comes with "ssconvert" for example that situation.

ssconvert foo.xls bar.gnumeric
Comment 2 Dan Jacobson 2009-01-15 22:38:25 UTC
I see. Filed
http://bugs.debian.org/511957 mention ssconvert on SEE ALSO
http://bugs.debian.org/511958 ssconvert doesn't really need the bulky --export-type
