Description Pedro Villavicencio 2009-01-13 13:38:59 UTC
this report has been filed here:

https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-utils/+bug/316671

"1. Press Alt-PrintScreen
2. Type in a filename like "~/img/shots/screenshot.png" or "/tmp/screenshot.png"
3. Press Enter

Expected behaviour: The screenshot is saved in the desired location.

Actual behaviour: You get an error dialog saying (with horrible formatting issues)

"Impossible to save the screenshot to file:///home/mg/%2Ftmp%2Fscreenshot.png.
 Error was Operation not supported
. Please choose another location and retry."

This used to work in Hardy (GNOME Utils 2.20), and now doesn't in Intrepid (GNOME Utils 2.24.1). GVFS migration's fault?"

also doesn't work with 2.25.2

Thanks,

it *never* used to work: the entry is meant for the *filename* only, not for a path. confusing? yes. documented and expected? yes.

this bug is a duplicate of bug 325708.
