Description Elmar Stellnberger 2009-01-08 12:49:24 UTC
At the moment gparted can view the content of logical volumes(lvms) and even select operations to be applied upon them (ntfsresize, copy partition, etc.).
However errors occur as soon as you try to apply these operations.
That for gparted would have to be fully aware of LVMs and to employ auxiliary programs like kpartx.
gparted /dev/myhdpool/ubuntu-dapperdrake /dev/sdb7
/dev/sdb7 -> /dev/sdb7p1, /dev/sdb7p2
/dev/myhdpool/ubuntu-dapperdrake -> /dev/mutable/ubuntu--dapperdrake-p1, ...

Thank you for the kpartx suggestion.
