GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 563066
No way to schedule a transaction for first weekday after given date or last weekday before
Last modified: 2018-06-29 22:13:19 UTC
Please describe the problem: Every single one of my regular transactions (paycheck, automated investments, rent payments) happens on either the last weekday before a given day (paycheck, rent) or first weekday after the given day (automated investments). There's no way to express this in the scheduled transaction editor. Even better would be a way to indicate in the editor that it should be a non-holiday, not just a weekday, but that can run into problems with the definition of "holiday", of course. I realize "weekday" is also somewhat locale-dependent (e.g. in Israel or in Muslim countries weekends are not Saturday and Sunday), but there would be fewer possibilities to choose from there. Steps to reproduce: Try to enter a scheduled transaction for paycheck transaction which is defined as (and I quote): All employees are paid semimonthly on the 15th and the last day of the month. In the event that a regularly scheduled payday falls on a day off such as a weekend or holiday, employees will receive pay on the last day of work before the regularly scheduled payday. Actual results: No way to do this. Expected results: Have some way, at least in the "Advanced" view, of entering such a scheduled transaction. Does this happen every time? Other information:

Ah, sorry. I'd read all the bugs with "schedule" in the summary before filing, but missed the "SX" part. :(
