Please describe the problem:

1. any time i attempt to use mic/sound recorder/test sound in "SKYPE" etc.

Other information:
having a lot of trouble to get mic working, does not recognize my sound blaster card/drivers.
linux default working sound. no mic from headset, no mic from desktop mic, no mic from logitec webcam, front and rear mic plugs neither works.???

Which version of Gstreamer are you using? (If you don't know, tell us the distribution you're running and I can give you some instructions). If you're actually running 0.3.4, then I would advise that you upgrade!

Also, if you can reproduce this problem using an application other than Skype (Rhythmbox for example) that would also be most helpful, as we don't have the source code for Skype and so we can't fix bugs in it, which also makes debugging what appears to be a Gstreamer bug quite difficult as sometimes these bugs are caused by the actual application, not the Gstreamer library, and debugging an application without it's source code is basically impossible...
