gconf/gconf/testclient.c:94:  loop = g_main_new(TRUE);
gconf/gconf/testclient.c:98:  g_main_run(loop);
gconf/gconf/testclient.c:102:  g_main_destroy(loop);

All references to testclient.c are commented out in Makefile.  Here's a patch nonetheless.

Maybe this file could go away then, if it's no more required. What does the maintainer think ?

Deleting that file looks like a fine solution to me.
