Description Theppitak Karoonboonyanan 2008-10-28 05:11:52 UTC
In schemas/desktop_gnome_interface.schemas.in.in, descriptions for both /desktop/gnome/interface/gtk_theme and /desktop/gnome/interface/gtk_key_theme are identical:

- short: Gtk+ Theme
- long: Basename of the default theme used by gtk+.

However, I happened to need to set the gtk_key_theme lately, but got confused by the description. I needed to be ensured that I was setting the theme only for key bindings, and it wouldn't affect the GTK+ widgets appearance.

So, the description for gtk_key_theme should be clarified.

Proposed patch to adjust the text

I think adding "for key bindings" should be sufficient. Leaving gtk_theme description intact should be OK, as it already means what people normally think a "GTK+ Theme" is.

I can confirm this is still an issue in GNOME 2.28.

libgnome and libgnomeui were only used in GNOME 2 and are not under active development anymore. Their codebases have been archived:
