Description George Vlahavas 2008-10-23 20:30:43 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I'm using nautilus in spatial mode and normal view. When I'm opening new directories sometimes the colour changes randomly. I can't find a pattern for it, and it doesn't always happen with the same directories, but if I start opening directories, it will happen sooner or later. I have never touched the background options for any directory. When it happens and the colour changes, if I close the nautilus window and reopen it, sometimes the background turns to another colour which is also random and so on. If it turns to white, which is the default, it stays white no matter how many times I close and reopen the same directory.

If I try to restore colour settings for a directory when the colour is wrong, nothing happens as if it's thinking that green for example is the default colour.

As far as I can see it doesn't happen in browser mode, only in spatial mode. I have never seen it happen with list view, but I have seen it with normal as well as compact view.

As this is completely random for me, I don't know what additional info I could provide.

Steps to reproduce:
It's completely random, the only way to reproduce is to start clicking and opening directories one after the other. It happens about 1 out of 20 times with different directories each time with nautilus set in spatial mode and normal or compact view.

Actual results:

Expected results:

Does this happen every time?

Forgot to add that this seems similar to bug 506336, but I'm having this in nautilus 2.24.0, not 2.20.x.
