GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 556657
Orca is rather chatty when focus is given to an OOo list whose parent is a combo box.
Last modified: 2008-12-06 21:11:22 UTC
There are a number of lists in OOo Writer (see, for instance the Format Character dialog) whose parent is a combo box. When focus is given to such an object, we present the combo box related info and then present the list related info (as I recall, because the list issues an object:active-descendant-changed event). The info is largely the same, and hearing that one is in a combo box and then in a list all from one press of Tab is not ideal. :-) It would be nice to detect that this is about to occur and be less "chatty" about it.

Works great for me. AWESOME job.
Thanks Will. Patch committed to both trunk and the gnome-2-24 branch. Moving to pending.
This has been "pending" for several weeks. Closing as FIXED.
