GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 555571
Can't use mouse wheel for horizontal scrolling in compact view
Last modified: 2008-11-03 13:54:39 UTC
It'd be great if we could use the mouse wheel to scroll the folders and icons to the left and to the right in the compact view, instead of having to drag the scroll bar. Thanks
I you put the mouse pointer over the horizontal scrollbar you you can move it without dragging, just using mousewheel, anyway I think it could be a good idea to use the mousewheel to do horizontal scroll when there is no vertical scroll available...
Please, pay attention to this feature. Other file managers such a Pcmanfm and Dolphin already have it and it definitely makes navigation easier. I think this is a serious disadvantage in Nautilus and it gets on your nerves when you have to put the pointer in the exact place to drag the scrollbar. Thanks
The properly fix for this is in GtkScrolledWindow, see bug 558659
