Ive been sent here from a duplicate Bug 563638. Evince is crashing for me from any pdf I download from jstor. I have been given permission from jstor to "email a copy of a JSTOR PDF file to the developer". If having access to the pdf would be helpful please let me know. Due to there terms of service I do not believe it would be ok to post it here where anybody can access it.

I've just tested this one with poppler 0.10.1, and it doesn't crash. Tried paging through the document a bit, everything looks fine. Can anyone reproduce with poppler >=0.10?
Comment 11 Carlos Garcia Campos 2008-12-12 17:35:18 UTC
This is fixed in poppler 0.10. See http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=555375
