GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 554480
KEYNAV: Alt-P shouldn't take you to the Search entry
Last modified: 2012-02-21 20:43:13 UTC
Visit a folder that is *not* bookmarked. Now hit Alt-P to switch to the Places sidebar. The first item in the sidebar gets selected (i.e. "Search"), which causes the Search entry to get the focus. Now you can't select Places as you expected. When focusing the Places sidebar, it should not try to select its first item.
Still in 3.2
This was caused by the treeview selecting the first row when it got the focus. This bug has been fixed; now what happens is that the Places tree gets the focus. There's no ideal row to highlight in this case. I'll just mark this bug as obsolete.
