Description Sebastien Bacher 2008-09-30 14:00:11 UTC
the bug has been described on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/273611

"When loading a large PDF, the only feedback given is "Loading". After a few seconds with no visible activity, you easily begin to mistrust this and think that the application have hanged.

I'd like to see a moving throbber or similar visual indication of activity while loading/rendering a PDF.

Even better would be a progress bar, showing how much is left. It doesn't even have to be perfect (I realize the theoretical difficulties in forecasting the rendering time)."
