Description Mohammad Alhobayyeb 2008-08-27 21:02:08 UTC
I saw in Totem that subtitles are only left to right, but in Arabic and other languages we write right to left.

So, it is a feature request not a bug but I do not find and section for that or any email.

So, pls add this feature

Thank you

Which encoding did you select in the preferences? Do you have an example file to reproduce the problem?

Subtitle for Dexter season 1 episode 1.

The encoding is Arabic(Windows-12565)

I have downloaded a Movie with its subtitle but the text goes Left to Right while Arabic is right to left.

I will uploaded the subtitle file.

What it looks like on my system

Is this how it's supposed to look like, or is it the wrong direction?

Also, which backend are you using, xine-lib, or GStreamer?

The Arabic Comparison

Here is the comparison in Arabic.
Between how R-T-L and L-T-R display in Arabic.

I hope everything is clear now.

Thanks
