Description egreene 2008-08-27 18:14:54 UTC
It would be nice if one could select 2 contacts, right-click them, and "Merge". The "merge" logic already exists from when you copy/move a duplicate contact into an address book.

Distribution: Ubuntu 8.04 (hardy)
Gnome Release: 2.22.3 2008-07-09 (Ubuntu)
BugBuddy Version: 2.22.0

Thanks Andre, I couldn't figure out how to change it since it was sent from bug-buddy.

Ah... Yeah, right, I forgot that. Sorry :)
Comment 4 Alex Stewart 2010-03-05 03:13:59 UTC
This is almost a duplicate of bug 269482. This bug proposes manual merging, while bug 269482 proposes automatic merging.

Comment 6 André Klapper 2021-05-19 11:46:25 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org (resources are unfortunately quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new enhancement request ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
