Please describe the problem:
Bringing upstream from Launchpad bug here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/file-roller/+bug/258499

Steps to reproduce:
When right-clicking on a .deb files and click on Extract here, or opening with "Archive Manager"



Actual results:
File-roller just shows a error message saying :

Could not open "<name>.deb"
Archive type not supported.

Expected results:
This is particular because .deb files are normally .ar archives (I can extract a .deb with ar -xv *.deb) and file-roller is able both to create and read ar archives, so the problem might not be so hard to fix.

Reproducible with 2.23.5-0ubuntu1 version of file-roller in ubuntu intrepid alpha 4

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed. It should be solved in the next software version. You may want to check for a software upgrade.
