The issue has been fixed, confirmed in version 2.23.6. Many thanks for this great app :)
We got a duplicate with file-roller 2.26.1 at: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/file-roller/+bug/375171 "Happens when rightclicking any items -> create archive -> type: tar.7z Is reproducable, happens with any combination of items I've tested so far." backtrace:

I cannot reproduce the bug
I can confirm this bug in File-roller 2.30.1.1 on Linux Mint 9. I have not been able to create tar.7z files in a long time.

Christian, can you please provide us updated traces of crash against later version of file-roller 2.30.x or 2.32.x, tia.
