GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 547084
Accents not show properly in volume control screen
Last modified: 2008-08-09 18:44:20 UTC
Please describe the problem: When I open up mixer's volume control screen the accents in some of the (translated to Spanish) words do not show up properly. Instead of the accents an 'X' symbol is shown. Steps to reproduce: 1. Boot up a GNOME desktop environment with Spanish as the main language 2. Select the mixer applet and open the volumen control Actual results: The volume control screen is shown with an incorrect representation of accented symbols. Expected results: Accented symbols should be shown properly. Does this happen every time? Yes, it does. Other information: I will attach a screen capture that shows this bug.
Created attachment 116247 [details] Screen capture showing the bug in action I have highlighted in red the areas where the accents are not shown correctly.
I'm marking this bug as duplicate to 547082 as it exhibits the same behaviour. All gnome-applets seem to not work OK when using the es_ES or es_ES@euro locale but work just fine when using the es_ES@UTF-8 locale. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 547082 ***
