Description Jim Paris 2008-07-27 19:13:35 UTC
With Gnumeric 1.6.3:
- Load Gnumeric
- Hit Ctrl-. to insert the current date and time into cell A1
- Hit enter to accept
- Select cell A1 again
- Click in the data entry area to edit the entry
RESULT: Everything works as expected, you can edit the entry exactly as it's shown.

With Gnumeric 1.8.3 and Gnumeric 1.9.1:
- Load Gnumeric
- Hit Ctrl-. to insert the current date and time into cell A1
- Hit enter to accept
- Select cell A1 again
- Click in the data entry area to edit the entry
RESULT: The display changes to a single number like "951759:12" which is more or less impossible for a human to edit.

Other information:
I'm human and so I would very much like the old behavior back!

Wow.
Comment 2 Morten Welinder 2008-07-28 02:21:06 UTC
Fixed (in goffice). It thought "m/d/yyyy h:mm:ss AM/PM" was a time format.

This problem has been fixed in our software repository. The fix will go into the next software release. Thank you for your bug report.
