yard - meter - feet - inch

Celsius - Fahrenheit - kelvin
pound - ounce - stone - gram - hectogram - kilogram
second - minute - hour - day - week - month - year
km/h - mp/h - knot - mach

Example:
"74 kilogram in pound": ---> 74 kilogram = 163.142074 pounds
"320 kilometer per hour in miles per hour": ---> 320 kilometer per hour = 198.838782 miles per hour

Such a module is already available at http://live.gnome.org/DeskbarApplet/Extending

However, it can't be included, because it depends on GNU unit which isn't a blessed dependency for GNOME.

Maybe it can be included, and when you enable it, it ask you to download GNU unit...
