Description Ruchir Brahmbhatt 2008-07-08 07:39:12 UTC
If we scroll the message using keyboard down key and cursor, we can see cursor traces in the message. This is happening with HTML mails only. I'll attach screenshot.

Comment 2 Sebastien Bacher 2008-08-07 09:46:12 UTC
there is a similar bug on https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/237002 and the comment indicate that could be an nvidia driver issue
Comment 3 Ruchir Brahmbhatt 2008-08-07 09:53:15 UTC
I don't have nvidia card or driver installed. I'm on intel.
Comment 4 Ruchir Brahmbhatt 2008-09-05 11:14:26 UTC
I think this will be solved in 2.24 when it is migrated from GtkHTML to GtkUIManager, right?
Comment 5 Matthew Barnes 2008-09-05 11:52:09 UTC
Evolution 2.24 still uses GtkHTML as its HTML rendering engine.
The Bonobo-to-GtkUIManager migration wouldn't solve something like this.
Comment 6 Ruchir Brahmbhatt 2008-09-05 12:07:31 UTC
I thought it is already done. (Ref. http://www.go-evolution.org/Evo2.24)
I've heard it'll be migrated to webkit/gtk+.(Ref. http://www.go-evolution.org/Evo_Future#GtkHTML_and_GtkMozembed)
Which version will be targeted for that? Will it solve this issue?
Comment 7 Matthew Barnes 2008-09-05 12:32:37 UTC
The WebKit migration will likely solve it, but my guess is that's at least a year away. Late 2009 or 2010.
Comment 8 Ruchir Brahmbhatt 2008-09-05 12:35:23 UTC
Should I mark this bug as obsolete then?
Comment 9 Ruchir Brahmbhatt 2008-09-28 09:29:02 UTC
This bug is present in evolution 2.24 as well.
