Description Markward Kufleitner 2008-06-28 10:28:59 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When I mark something for example in gedit and want to print only the marking, there is no way to chose "print marking" in the printer-dialog. It's greyed out.

Steps to reproduce:
It can be reproduced in all apps.

Actual results:
Nothing happens. I can't print markings.

Expected results:
I expect to print the marking.

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
ubuntu 8.04 Kernel 2.6.24-19 gnome 2.22.2
Comment 1 Markward Kufleitner 2008-06-28 10:33:12 UTC
This seems to happen to more people. In a german ubuntu forum someone could reproduce the bug.
Comment 2 matthias.schramm 2008-06-28 11:05:45 UTC
I can reproduce this bug too.

System information:
Fedora 9, Kernel 2.6.25.6-55.fc9.x86_64, gnome 2.22.2
Comment 3 Markward Kufleitner 2008-06-28 17:14:10 UTC
It is not a bug, but a translation error. In the english printer dialog it shows "current" and in german it shows "Markierung".

"Current" means to print the current page, but "Markierung" means to print a marked textarea. This is a future, that is known in Windows, why is it not implemented in gnome. :(

Moving to gtk+ printing.
Comment 5 Matthias Clasen 2009-04-12 23:20:51 UTC
