GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 540288
Visual cue for overlapsed part of page scrolling.
Last modified: 2008-06-26 20:42:13 UTC
After scrolling down, I often lose track of where I am on the page. It takes time to look for the next line of text that I'm supposed to read. It would be nice to have a visual guide marking the part of the page that overlaps with the previous view. Xdvi (used to?) do this by flashing a line to show how much of the page has been scrolled. -------------- -------------- | 1. foo bar | | 5. foo bar | | 2. foo bar | -------> |------------| << breifly flash this line | 3. foo bar | | 6. foo bar | | 4. foo bar | PageDown | 7. foo bar | | 5. foo bar | | 8. foo bar | -------------- --------------
