GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 539958
some icons don't follow zoom settings
Last modified: 2016-12-11 10:09:22 UTC
the bug has been opened on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/236207 "This is a fresh install of Ubuntu 8.10 on a Dell Latitude D830. I am using one of the default included themes, Mist, however this problem exists for any default them I select. As you can see from the included screen shoot, I have the icons sizes configured to show at 75% and the icons for the web link and the CHM file don't appear to follow the sizing suggestion. The only thing I have done after the install is change the icon zoom preference. http://launchpadlibrarian.net/14854294/icons.png"

Still valid. See the attachments on bug 692760 for a test case.
The icon view (layout, spacing and all that stuff) has been reworked since then. I downloaded the files in bug 692760 and tried. I can confirm that this now works as it should. Side note for António: age shouldn't be the only criteria to select which bug to close as duplicate of the other. You should keep the "best" report open. In this case the other report had what was needed to reproduce, so you should have left the other one open and close this one. That would have made it easier for me, years later, to try to reproduce.
