GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 539629
Create archive for Trash/Computer
Last modified: 2008-06-24 09:59:52 UTC
right click on the Trash icon gives you the possibility to create an archive. This results in an error: "The folder contents could not be displayed. VFS error: invalid parameters". The archive window stays available, but no archive is made when pressing Ok. I'd suggest to provide a more explicit message that this function is not allowed on this icon (or -- alternatively -- if this feature is deemed useful, that an archive of the trash content is created) Other information:
-> file-roller That menu item is provided by the file-roller nautilus extension.
It looks like vfs doesn't allow to work on files located in trash or other special locations, so I just removed the menu entries when a location is unsupported. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
