GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 539180
Cover Art on "Now Playing" Screen
Last modified: 2008-08-13 17:53:06 UTC
It may be a good idea to display the cover art of the currently playing song on the "Now Playing" screen that currently displays a banshee logo. This would be especially useful when you have a party and don't want to have a laptop with a banshee logo but rather one with some album art standing around. Maybe even a nice reflection or shadow or something would be possible, as long as it is not an animation and influences the performance of the computer.
I second this enhancement request
I would like to have this feature too. Right now the now playing window is pretty useless.
Well, it is usefull for playing video, but it could be even more useful with that new feature. BTW, is it normal I can't manually reorder my playlists?
Leon, the manual sorting is being worked on in svn trunk. Please, lets end this discussion here and keep the bug report on topic.
I second this enhancement request too. "Now playing" is the perfect place to display some covert art, and current song information in a pretty way (i am not meaning a typical music animation). It would be perfect to be used on a party, as Leon says...
This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
If a CD cover image is larger than the "now playing" area, it should be downscaled, but in the current implementation it's not.
