GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 539134
[RTL] On folder icon view, when changing from automatic to manual layout the icons are pushed to the left of the window
Last modified: 2018-01-02 18:47:05 UTC
RTL locales: On folder icon view, when changing from automatic to manual layout the icons are pushed to the left of the window. Correct behavior is for icons position to not change.
This is the remains of bug #342009
Created attachment 121175 [details] Screenshot of nautilus to demonstrate this bug. Bug confirmed on Nautilus 2.24.0 on Arch Linux. Icons are pushed to the left of the window. Very annoying.
and to i have this problem. ubuntu 8.10, gnome 2.24.1, nautilus 2.24.1. my system is in lang hebrew.
Hints: It seems that mirroring the icons' x position is happening twice, hence have no effect, when switching from automatic to manual layout.
Starting with version 3.28, nautilus will not handle the "files on desktop background" feature. For better alternatives, read this blog post https://csorianognome.wordpress.com/2017/12/21/nautilus-desktop-plans/
