GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 534985
Make it possible to write plugins in vala
Last modified: 2008-07-01 14:52:56 UTC
vala is a new programming language which simplifies programming with G Object considerably
see http://code.google.com/soc/2008/gnome/app.html?csaid=OV0PGh9eRi8MGBQJEgJdHSIKNUlURgkIBnlUOUlWFQlTVXNXPA%3D%3D%0A Abderrahim Kitouni takes care of that currently.
Sorry for not being clear. I'm not proposing to write vala code in anjuta, but to write anjuta in vala. Because anjuta has a plugin structure and the fact that it uses gobject I think this might be possible. Do you see any major problems in achieving this?
Sorry, maybe I should have commented a bit to the link ;-) He actually writes it's plugin in Vala and as such is currently creating Vala bindings for anjuta.
Yes, I'm working on this. There is a patch in bug 538021. (btw, I think this should be closed as duplicate)
