Description Sebastien Bacher 2008-05-14 10:02:54 UTC
the bug has been opened on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/225267

"how to reproduce (all steps uses nautilus 2.22.2):
-open a samba share like smb:\\server\share\
-drag a folder or file from that share to empty CD-R
-this gives this error msg:

Error while copying "(filename)" , there was an error copying file into network:///.

This must be wrong, where does the need to copy file "into" network:///. come from ?
- if files are first copied to local HD, burning works fine."
Comment 1 Sebastien Bacher 2008-05-14 10:04:49 UTC
confirming that copy from a vfs location doesn't work, the message correctly mention the burn location on my installation though
Comment 2 André Klapper 2011-10-04 09:20:05 UTC
The backend for smb functionality has changed around 2.24 (gnome-vfs ->
gio/gvfs)....

Is this still an issue in a recent Nautilus version, such as 3.0 or 3.2?
