Description John Coffman 2008-05-03 05:01:31 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When viewing an image in a window or in fullscreen, the 'x' command to expand the image to fill the screen no longer operates. I've tried 2.10.8 from Fedora 8; also 2.10.8 compiled from source. The bug exists in both. The last version which operated was 2.7.8 from the Fedora 6 release.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Select an image that is less than full screen (1280 x 1024, in my case).
2. Hit <F11> to display the image full screen.
3. Hit <x> to expand the image to fill the screen. Works in 2.7.8, but not in 2.10.8.

Actual results:
Command is inoperative.

Expected results:
Behavior like older version: the image is expanded to fill the screen, maintaining the original aspect ratio. No clipping of the image should occur.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

Other information:
If the image is larger than the screen dimensions, and the image is displayed full-size, I have failed to test if <x> reduces the image to fit the screen. However, the Edit/Preferences option "Fit to window if larger" works in all versions.
