Description Ruchir Brahmbhatt 2008-04-21 11:02:33 UTC
Whenever we copy/paste excel sheet content or html content in new mail, border is gone and we have to set it manually from right click>style>table style>border.
When we receive mail from someone at that time also we can't see border of the table in evolution.
Comment 1 Ruchir Brahmbhatt 2008-04-21 11:11:09 UTC
Steps to reproduce issue:
1. Compose new mail in Evolution.
2. Copy portion of spreadsheet having border in cells.
3. Paste in mail body.
4. Table will be pasted but border will not be there.

Isn't there a way to fix it?
I have to set table border manually everytime.

Ping.

I just tried nightly builds and the issue seems partially solved. If I paste html table, borders are not gone. However if I paste from spreadsheet, it is being pasted as image. I reported it in separate bug #574071.

GtkHtml is not under active development anymore.
Evolution (its main consumer) switched to a WebKit backend a while ago.
It is currently unlikely that there will be any further GtkHtml development.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping (bug 778387) to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this bug report in the future if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again.
