Description Sam Morris 2008-03-31 16:01:01 UTC
Please describe the problem:
The BBC have launched a new and "improved" web site recently. Somehow it manages to disable the browser's ability to resize the text on the pages.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Visit http://news.bbc.co.uk/
2. Press Ctrl+- a few times. Even though the font size goes down to 50%, the body text remains the same size (the size of the menu fonts does shrink though).
3. Press Ctrl++ a few times. The body fonts only get larger at 175% and above.

Actual results:

Expected results:
If I press ctrl+- the fonts should go one step smaller. If I press Ctrl++ they should go one step larger.

Does this happen every time?

What back-end are you using (xulrunner, firefox, webkit..)?
Can you reproduce the problem in Firefox?
Comment 2 Sam Morris 2008-04-07 11:59:50 UTC
I'm using the xulrunner backend. I can resize fonts just fine in Iceweasel (firefox).

Another site with this property: http://openid.net/

Confirming this (in 2.20, at least). Interesting...

Moving to Backend:Mozilla. Works fine with the WebKit backend.
